Defensive Carbine

OVERVIEW

This 2-day, behavioral driven carbine course will take you out of your comfort zone and help you obtain a combat style mindset as you’re taught how to run a rifle rather than just shoot one. This course will help peak your performance in real life, high stress encounters. It is not designed for shooting paper on the range. Instead, students will receive training to better respond to real-world, life-threatening encounters by mastering defensive shooting with carbine. This training will increase your safety, survivability and weapons handling skills by teaching real world tactics on the range. It will place you in unconventional shooting positions and teach off set at CQB distance. This course will also compare shooting and moving vs. shooting on the move. You will learn proper reloading techniques, how to clear malfunctions faster and more efficiently and the proper use of cover, based on behavior under stress. We will teach you to run your carbine so you are prepared for any close quarter encounter – including building searches and clearing your own home. You will also learn how to transition from carbine to handgun/handgun to carbine quickly and efficiently and when to conduct a reload or malfunction clearance vs. a transition.
